Your Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Data Manager to lead and manage our analytics initiatives, focusing on delivering actionable insights and predictive models that drive business growth. In this role, you will oversee a team comprising a Data Analyst and a Data Scientist, ensuring the successful delivery of data products to various business areas, including Market Analysis, Media, Promotions, CRM or Digital Products, as well as guide the Predictive Modeling roadmap (MMM, Sales Forecast,...).
You will collaborate closely with business leaders to align data solutions with strategic objectives while working alongside your IT peer, who will handle infrastructure and technology management.
What you will do
1. Leadership & Team Management:
○ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing current analytics team, consisting of a Data Analyst and a Data Scientist.
○ Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
○ Define clear goals and KPIs for the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
○ Oversee project planning and resource allocation to deliver high-quality data products on time and within scope.
2. Analytics Pipeline Management:
○ Manage the delivery of data products, ensuring that they meet the needs of the internal stakeholders and are aligned with the business strategic goals.
○ Monitor the quality and accuracy of data analytics outputs, ensuring insights are actionable and relevant to business priorities.
○ Focus on the creation of models, dashboards, visualizations, and reporting frameworks that provide real-time insights into critical business challenges.
3. Business Collaboration:
○ Act as the primary liaison between the analytics team and key business users.
○ Partner with those stakeholders to identify data needs, define key questions, and translate business challenges into analytics projects.
○ Facilitate the adoption of analytics tools and promote data-driven decision-making through training and advocacy.
○ Present clear and compelling insights to senior leadership, tailoring communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Strategic Focus on Market, Media, and Promotions Analytics:
○ Leverage data to assess market trends, campaign performance, and promotional effectiveness, providing insights to optimize strategies and investments.
○ Collaborate with Marketing and Media teams to evaluate ROI, customer segmentation, and channel performance.
○ Develop predictive models to forecast outcomes, identify risks, and uncover opportunities in CRM, promotions or market dynamics.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
○ Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in analytics, AI, and machine learning.
○ Advocate for and implement improvements in processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and impact of analytics efforts.
○ Foster an iterative approach to data projects, incorporating feedback to refine and improve solutions over time.
What we are looking for
1. Technical Expertise:
○ Proven experience in data analytics, with a focus on market analysis, media, promotions and predictive modeling. Ideally with more than 5 years in a related or equivalent position
○ Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform products (BigQuery, Looker) and literacy in SAP analytics tools (DataSphere, SAC)
○ Experience with machine learning techniques and statistical modeling.
○ Strong understanding of data storytelling and visualization principles to effectively communicate insights.
2. Leadership & Collaboration:
○ Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor analytics teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
○ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable manner.
○ Strong relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach to partnering with business leaders.
○ Strategic Thinking:
○ Ability to align analytics efforts with business objectives and drive value through data-driven insights.
○ Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and creative solutions.
